My interests in anything audio related came from my love of music and singing. I started off as an aspiring singer. At first, I was only focused on writing and performing my original songs but then I got into recording my material and that opened my mind to the world of recording and mix engineering. Deciding that I wanted a back up plan for myself, and to further my education on the music industry and sound engineering, I enrolled myself in Full Sail University (2006/2007). Now, as I was on my journey to becoming the very best mix engineer ever, I had one month of Show Production classes and labs during my years at Full Sail, and being introduced to the live production environment was an eye opening and exciting experience. That was the moment that my interest in live sound was created.
Fast foward a few years...
I've been mixing live sound for six years at both FOH and Monitor positions and I absolutely love what I do.
The types of shows I've worked vary from award shows to concerts to corporate events and although each show is different in content, one thing that remains the same for me is my goal, which is to make sure sound clarity is superb and that the performers and attendees have a wonderful show.
I'm pretty fluent on various analogue and digital boards and I make it a point to learn boards I've never touched before for continuous learning and skill improvements, however, my experience isn't solely on console operation. I also work as a RF coordinator, a systems engineer and an audio assist (A2) when I'm not working as the lead audio engineer.
Here's to sonic excellence. *Cheers*
